BEST FOOT FORWARD
Salvatore Ferragamo, the gentleman responsible for the namesake label and for very efficiently furthering the limits of shoe design, made some incredibly interesting shoes well before there were hoards of street style photographers to fawn over them. Instead, Salvatore’s ideas are getting their cultish due today as they are reincarnated into new collections by his own label and others. As you can see above, it’s quite clear that the creatives at Yves Saint Laurent found plenty of inspiration in the Ferragamo archives for fall 2011.
