CREATIVE COLLISION
Even if you don’t know his name, chances are you’ve seen a Guy Bourdin photograph. The late photographer/provocateur has an instantly recognizable style that continues to inspire many of today’s top photographers – so much so that once you’ve seen Bourdin’s work, the word ‘derivative’ will come to mind a lot more as you peruse your monthly fashion magazines. Below are some examples of Bourdin’s many collaborations with shoe designer and patron Charles Jourdan between 1967 and 1981. Be sure to have a look at GuyBourdin.org too but beware that some of the images get a bit cheeky and may offend nosey coworkers.
