PARIS IN PICTURES
While researching yesterday’s post, I came across the soon-to-be-released Paris – Portrait of a City. Sure, it is a familiar topic, but this volume differs in that it focuses on the visionaries who see the City of Lights best. Photography made its debut there in the 1830′s and has since been a constant source of inspiration for the photography field’s the most celebrated lensmen. Boasting over 500 images by legends like Daguerre, Marville, Atget, Lartigue, Brassaï, Kertész, Ronis, Doisneau, Cartier-Bresson, I don’t doubt that this will be a must-buy for all of you photo/francophiles out there. It’s scheduled to be released on March 1st, but is available for pre-order here.
