NEW SHOES ON
After seasons of making accessories editors swoon with the help of collaborators like Christian Louboutin and Nicolas Kirkwood, the Mulleavy sisters behind Rodarte have brought footwear design in-house for the first time for Fall 2012. The six styles they will make available have a rough and tumble appeal to suit their Australian Outback-themed show and will hover in the $1000 range. Some pairs feature plexiglass heels filled with layers of colored sand – certainly in keeping with their established taste for dramatic shapes and unconventional embellishments.
